Cedarburg hosting Oktoberfest this weekend
CEDARBURG, Wis. – Cedarburg is hosting Oktoberfest this Saturday and Sunday. The event will be bursting with gemuetlichkeit, great German beer and food, dancing, music and more. The event will be held on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, October 14, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
A huge tent will be erected in the Community Center Parking Lot to cover the bands, the dance floor and tables, lending a true Oktoberfest feel. Performances include Pommersche Tanzdeel Dancers, Tuba Dan, the Alte Kameraden Band, D'Lustig'n Wendlstoana Dancers and the Cedarburg Civic Band.
Festivals of Cedarburg will dish up authentic German classics like Sauerbraten, Wiener Schnitzel, German Sausage and other delights. The Cedarburg Lion’s will serve Currywurst, Bratwurst and Hotdogs. Guests will also find specialty beers such as Hofbrau, Hacker Pschorr, Leinenkugel Oktoberfest and Blue Moon, as well as award winning wines from Cedar Creek Winery and specialty beer from The Fermentorium.
Pets are not allowed on the festival grounds. The event happens rain or shine.
