Car Strikes Tree and Driver Ejected after Traveling at High Rate of Speed

A 40-year-old man struck a tree and was ejected from his vehicle around 11:30 PM on Monday near N. 107th Street and W. Villa Avenue.

The victim was traveling northbound on N. 107th Street in a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix with his lights off at a high rate of speed.

The victim lost control of his vehicle as he swerved to get around another northbound auto and struck a tree.

The victim, a 40-year-old man, was ejected from the vehicle and suffered serious injuries.  He was transported from the scene to a local hospital for treatment.

The occupants of the other auto were not injured and speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in this accident. Our investigation is ongoing.
