Milwaukee Co. Executive David Crowley launches bid for governor
NEW BERLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A weekend of festivities is just getting started for Burghardt Sporting Goods who are celebrating 144 years of business in the Milwaukee area.
The "Home Base Bash" got underway Friday, July 25 with a blood drive and a vendor showcase at their New Berlin location, 15333 W National Ave.
This weekend, a home run derby for baseball and softball players, along with multiple opportunities to work on your swing with free batting cage sessions.
The company will also be holding a silent auction with proceeds benefitting Cream City Charity, a nonprofit that provides equipment to under-resourced youth.
"We're just really proud of our team, we're proud of Milwaukee and our place in it and it's just a great time to celebrate our anniversary," said Brian Burghardt, co-owner.
In addition to the events, the company will also be increasing their clearance section with late summer deals on all kinds of sporting goods.
