Brookfield girl among Packers "Rookie Reporter" winners

A Brookfield girl was one of six children to win the Green Bay Packers and Edvest “Rookie Reporter” contest.

The winners also received a $1,000 Edvest 529 college savings account, four tickets to a 2015 regular season Packers home game, and autographed merchandise. 

As a Packers “Rookie Reporter,” each winning child each had an opportunity to interview a Packers player, and the first interview video will be aired in-stadium and on Packers.com beginning this week. The remaining winners’ videos will be aired in-stadium and posted on Packers.com throughout the season.

Below are the winners:

Grace Bouda of Brookfield, Wis. interviewed Micah Hyde. The interview will be posted on Packers.com on Friday, Sept. 18 and will air in-stadium during the Packers-Seahawks game on Sept. 20.

Max Hicks of Appleton, Wis. interviewed Eddie Lacy. The interview will be posted on Packers.com on Friday, Sept. 25 and will air in-stadium during the Packers-Chiefs game on Sept. 28.

Eva Stalker Herron of Madison, Wis. interviewed Mason Crosby. The interview will be posted on Packers.com on Friday, Oct. 16 and will air-in stadium during the Packers-Chargers game on Oct. 18.

Alex Hagey of Lodi, Wis. interviewed Sam Shields. The interview will be posted on Packers.com on Friday, Nov. 13, and will air in-stadium during the Packers-Lions game on Nov. 15.

Katie Meisner of De Pere, Wis. interviewed Randall Cobb. The interview will be posted on Packers.com on Friday, Dec. 11, and will air in-stadium during the Packers-Cowboys game on Dec. 13.

Andy Schneider of Watertown, Wis. interviewed BJ Raji. The interview will be posted on Packers.com on Friday, Jan. 1, and will air in-stadium during the Packers-Vikings game on Jan. 3.

“Rookie Reporter” kicked off on National 529 Day to help educate parents and grandparents about the importance of saving for higher education. Over 8,000 entries were collected from families in approximately 530 Wisconsin communities. “Rookie Reporter” is sponsored by the Green Bay Packers and Edvest, Wisconsin’s 529 College Savings Plan
