Brice Turang, Jacob Misiorowski headline Brewers' 2026 team award winners
CBS 58 MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — Brice Turang and Jacob Misiorowski highlighted the Milwaukee Brewers' 2026 team award winners announced Wednesday.
The awards were selected by a panel from the Milwaukee chapter of the Baseball Writers Association of America.
Turang was named Brewers Most Valuable Player for the second straight season after batting .268 with 21 home runs, 100 RBI and 19 stolen bases in 151 games.
The second baseman also earned the second Gold Glove Award of his career.
Turang ranked among National League leaders with 37 doubles, 102 runs, 100 RBI and 90 walks. His 100 RBI while playing second base led Major League Baseball and set a franchise record, surpassing Rickie Weeks' previous mark of 83 in 2010.
Misiorowski was unanimously selected as the Brewers Most Valuable Pitcher after going 16-5 with a 1.80 ERA in 30 starts.
The right-hander is a finalist for the National League Cy Young Award after leading MLB in ERA, strikeouts with 252, opponent batting average at .157, WHIP at 0.80, strikeout percentage at 37.9% and hits allowed per nine innings at 4.95.
His 252 strikeouts were the second-most in a single season in franchise history, trailing only Ben Sheets' 264 in 2004.
Shortstop Cooper Pratt earned Brewers Top Newcomer honors after batting .281 with three home runs, 34 RBI and 19 stolen bases in 74 games.
The 22-year-old was recalled from Triple-A Nashville on June 16 and took over as Milwaukee's starting shortstop. Pratt had previously agreed to an eight-year contract through 2033, with club options for 2034 and 2035.
Reliever Abner Uribe was named Brewers Unsung Hero.
Uribe appeared in 61 games, going 6-3 with a 1.97 ERA and six saves. Opponents batted .199 against him, and he posted a 1.03 WHIP.
The right-hander was especially effective down the stretch, recording a 0.84 ERA over his final 43 appearances of the regular season.
Christian Yelich received the Brewers Good Guy Award, which recognizes the player who maintains an outgoing and friendly presence in the clubhouse while working cooperatively with the media.
Yelich also won the award in 2023 and 2025.
