The Tap Yard expands to Muskego Park, adds holiday-themed winter igloos
Waukesha County WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) — The Tap Yard Beer Gardens is expanding its footprint in Waukesha County, adding a new location at Muskego Park and bringing holiday-themed winter igloos to several locations.
Muskego Park joins Fox Brook Park, Minooka Park and Menomonee Park as Waukesha County Park destinations featuring The Tap Yard.
Beginning Friday, Nov. 27, visitors will be able to reserve private, themed igloos for the holiday season. Reservations will be available through January 2027.
Each location will feature a different holiday movie-inspired theme. The Menomonee Falls location will feature "Home Alone 2," Brookfield will be themed after "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" and Muskego will feature a "Home Alone" theme.
"We value our partnership with The Tap Yard and appreciate its commitment to creating unique experiences that encourage people to visit and enjoy our parks throughout the year," Waukesha County Director of Parks and Land Use Dale Shaver said. "The addition of winter igloos at Muskego Park is a great example of how partnerships like this bring new opportunities for visitors to connect with our parks in every season."
The Tap Yard owners Nick and April Marking said the partnership with Waukesha County Parks has played an important role in the business's growth.
"We're excited to expand to Muskego Park and continue building on this relationship by offering guests memorable seasonal experiences, from festive winter igloos to summer days at the beer garden," the Markings said.
The expansion gives visitors another way to experience Waukesha County Parks during the colder months.
When warmer weather returns, The Tap Yard will move to its summer location near the Muskego Park beach house, where the beer garden will operate throughout the summer season.
