Braun excited to test out surgically-repaired thumb

In an event with so much optimism for the season to come, Ryan Braun may have provided the biggest reason of all to be excited about the 2015 Brewers.

Braun says he's excited to test out his thumb at Brewers spring training after an offseason procedure. The thumb limited Braun throughout the 2014 season, leading to career-low full-season numbers.

Braun says his bigger challenge this offseason has been raising a 4 1/2 month old daughter. Catcher Jonathan Lucroy says the Brewers will be a dangerous lineup with a healthy Braun.

Brewers players, coaches and legends joined fans for the Brewers On Deck event at the Wisconsin Center Sunday.
