FRANKLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) - A judge on Tuesday, June 9, increased the cash bond for a 22-year-old Franklin man accused of holding a woman at gunpoint and added a new charge in a case that now includes allegations of kidnapping and attempted sexual assault.

Angelo Liberto Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office

Angelo Liberto now faces a $2 million cash bond. Even if he is able to post it, he will not be released without GPS monitoring and a 24-hour curfew, according to court proceedings.

Liberto is charged with kidnapping, attempted second-degree sexual assault and a new count of false imprisonment filed in Washington County, all with the use of a dangerous weapon.

Investigators say the victim had made plans to go to a bar, At Random, with Liberto, but after she got into his car, he allegedly displayed a gun, took her phone and forced her to handcuff herself to the vehicle.

Authorities said the victim was able to call 911 and her mother for help, allowing deputies to track the vehicle and stop it on a highway.

Investigators said the 911 call originated in Washington County, which is why the false imprisonment charge was filed there.

Law enforcement said they recovered a gun, knife, duct tape, a tarp, a shovel and restraints inside the vehicle.

Liberto is scheduled to return to court for arraignment on June 16.
