MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Bon-Ton's Boston Store could be making a comeback.
After closing locations nationwide, the company reportedly has a new owner.
USA Today reports a subsidiary of the tech company CSC Generation Holdings signed a deal with the department store, although there will be changes.
The store will be trendier and focus on online shopping, allowing the company to take on competitors like Amazon. For the most part, shoppers say this is positive.
"If the online business is able to support their business model, then that's fine. I'd love to see brick and mortar come back though," said shopper Ed Krishok.
"I understand the realities of going online, but if you find a way to get people downtown, I think it adds a lot," said another shopper Pat Sayas.
The reported re-opening also means some of those jobs that were lost could come back. It's likely former Bon-Ton employees would be hired to work at the stores.
