Chilly Election Day, then wintry mix and showers return
It was a packed house at the Governor's Blue Ribbon Livestock Auction.
Nearly 1,000 friends and family looked on as junior exhibitors showed off their champion animals.
CBS 58 News spoke with Claire whose cow 'Juan' came in 4th overall. She says it was her first time participating in the auction and that Juan was a fast learner.
"He didn't have many classes, only two classes. He's a really good steer," Claire Leahy said. "This is my second year showing so it's really exciting to do this."
Claire tells us she's hoping to get about $5,000 for the prized cow. She wants to use the money for college.
