Thursday morning at 6:56 AM the Western Lakes Fire District responded for a school bus versus bicycle accident on North Main Street in Dousman.
A boy was riding his bike on North Main Street on the the sidewalk when he crossed Main Street and was hit by the school bus.
Emergency officials were able to free the bicyclist who was trapped and take him to a local hospital in critical condition.
The school bus was carrying high school students. According to Village of Summit Police, the bicyclist was a 12-year-old boy.
None of the high school students riding the bus were injured and were safely taken to the high school on another bus.
The incident remains under investigation by the Village of Summit Police Department and Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department.
