Humidity levels finally dropped Saturday evening leading us to a fairly comfortable day on Sunday. That comfy air will continue for Labor Day with dew points hovering around 60 most of the day. Labor Day will also be fairly close to average with a high of 76 degrees when the average high for September 7th is 77. Sunshine should abound most of the day with no chance for rain. Enjoy!
The dry Labor Day this year is a trend we have seen over the last six years. Most Labor Days recently have been very dry with only 2022 and 2020 reporting a trace of rain. Recently, Labor Days have also been cool and close to average in the 70s. Only 2023 was a warm Labor Day with highs reaching the 90s.
Enjoy the lower humidity and sunshine while we have it Monday, rain chances will rapidly increase Tuesday with rain likely in the afternoon and evening. There's a pretty good chance that rain chance lingers through at least Wednesday morning. Temperatures and humidity levels will also increase for the rainy days.
