MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The City of Milwaukee announced its 'Be Active, Be Healthy' health fair and dance showcase on Tuesday.
Mayor Barrett was joined by school and health leaders as well as community organizations to get the word out about the many resources available in the community for children and families.
An event planned for Saturday, June 30 is part of an effort to make sure kids have a safe and healthy summer.
"This is a great way for families, families with young kids to come and get engaged and make sure your kids are healthy as we head into July," Mayor Barrett said Tuesday.
The health fair is Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the downtown Hyatt Regency. There will be free lead testing and other services like dental and vision screenings. There will also be a dance showcase featuring former Green Bay Packer LeRoy Butler who will be one of the judges.
