MADISON - The Badgers played some of their best basketball under some of the most intense pressure of the season to date.
Facing Illinois at the Kohl Center, the Badgers went on a 20-0 run in the first half and coasted to a 95-70 win, setting a school record by starting the season 16-0.
Ben Brust scored 18 and Sam Dekker added 17 for the Badgers, who bested the 15-0 starts by the 1913-14 and 1911-12 Badgers teams.
Wisconsin is ranked #1 in the country in ESPN's RPI rating, a measure of a team's record and the strength of their schedule.
