Auto Theft Numbers on the Rise in Milwaukee

Year-to-year, auto theft numbers are on the rise in the city of Milwaukee.

According to crime numbers from the Milwaukee Police Department there have been 5,790 auto thefts reported in the city so far in 2015.

That number is on pace with 2014's numbers which stood at 5,729 at this time last year. But the figure is far above 2013's reports which were at 3,458.

In fact, Milwaukee ranks 25th in the country in terms of cars stolen per capita last year - Even worse than Minneapolis and Chicago, according to national statistics.
