MILWAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- It's been almost one week since a severed human leg was found in a Cudahy park. Since then, two more disturbing discoveries have been made in Milwaukee. Now, the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help to learn more.

Tuesday, April 2, a human leg was discovered in Warnimont Park near the golf course just before 5:30 p.m. The discovery is being investigated as a homicide.

Thursday, April 4, after securing a search warrant, Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office detectives converged on a home on the city's south side and took a person of interest into custody for questioning.

Friday, April 5, another human body part was found in a different part of the city -- near 30th and Lisbon.

Saturday, April 6, officials say human remains were located near 31st and Galena.

Monday morning, Milwaukee police officers returned to 31st and Galena and continued combing the area.

Detectives were seen collecting unidentified items and left with several brown paper bags in hand.

People in the area said the discovery of body parts has them concerned.

"I mean, just scared, and I think most people would feel the same way, cause it's like what happened?"

"It's scary to know that there are missing body parts out here," said Sonya Dantzler.

Police have not connected the Cudahy leg to the body part and human remains recently found over the weekend.

"It’s a problem, it's something big going on," said Dantzler.

While authorities say the incidents have not been connected, the sheriff's office is working in partnership with the Milwaukee Police Department to investigate the second discovery.
