An Oconomowoc woman convicted of killing her husband was sentenced to life in prison on Wednesday.
53-year-old Amy Van Wagner was found guilty last March of first degree intentional homicide and hiding a corpse. Prosecutors say she shot her husband, wrapped his body in a tarp and dragged him to the basement in May of 2015.
Authorities say the motive was money troubles during their divorce.
Van Wagner will serve a life sentence and is not eligible for extended supervision.
Her attorney told CBS 58 they plan to appeal the verdict within in the next three weeks.
