MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – The American Serb Hall is serving up its Good Friday fish fry throughout the day.
They call it America’s largest Good Friday fish fry because they’re expecting to serve around 1,300 people. Workers prepped 3,000 pounds of fish, 900 pounds of coleslaw, 50 pounds of butter and 550 lemons.
“We know what we’re doing, we’ve been doing this fish fry for about 70 years,” Organizer Paul Markovina said.
People who want to get a meal can sit down and eat or go through the drive-thru or walk-up window.
“It’s a company tradition on Good Friday, we come in and have fish,” Milwaukee resident Jose Reys said.
Dinners cost around $15. The money will go toward renovations at Serb Hall. The fish fry runs until 9 p.m.
