3 injured after SUV fails to yield, strikes semi in Dodge County

TOWN OF OAK GROVE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Dodge County Sheriff's Office says three people were taken to the hospital after a SUV slammed into a Semi along County Highway A, in the town of Oak Grove.

Officials responded to the two-vehicle incident at around 7:55 p.m. on Friday, August 21.

The initial investigation revealed a 2020 Ford Edge had been traveling eastbound on County Highway W when it failed to yield the right of way from the stop sign and hit a semi tractor/trailer traveling southbound on County Highway A. 

The driver of the Ford, a 68-year-old woman from Cable, Wisconsin, suffered possible life-threatening injuries and had been taken to the Marshfield Medical Center Beaver Dam Hospital. She was later flown to UW Hospital in Madison

Two other juveniles in the SUV suffered minor injuries and were taken to the Marshfield Medical Center. 

The driver of the semi has been identified as a 71-year-old man from Milton. Crew assessed him on scene and released him.
