Milwaukee Police tell CBS 58 the injured men were not Public Works employees and have been identified as a 45-year-old Milwaukee man and a 46-year-old Cudahy man.
The two men were buying gas when the explosion happened.
Since 6:00 AM Wednesday morning CBS 58 has viewed city workers looking at the van where the incident happened. The entire front windshield and windows appear to have been blown out.
The exact cause of the explosion is still under investigation.
