MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Admirals are getting UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena ready for the new hockey season Monday, Sept. 23.
Crews started installing the ice rink at 6 a.m. and the process will take all day. It's work well worth it, marking the start of a new season.
"It marks the start of the year; all our players are down at training camp right now. They'll be here next week for practice. Here's where we'll practice, they need ice to skate on and we provide it. This is New Year's Day for us," said Charlie Larson, VP of communications, Milwaukee Admirals.
The new season starts next month, with the home opener on Oct. 19 against the Rockford Ice Hogs.
