Meet CBS 58’s Pet of the Week: Stealth
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- We have months of cold weather ahead, so how can people stay warm but also not break the bank?
Hardware stores offer some tips.
"We do sell a variety of products that can add an extra layer of insulation, kind of a plastic wrap, 3M makes it, you cut it to size, it's double-sided tape. Once you have it in place, use a hair dryer to shrink it and it just gives you an extra layer to help insulate," said Tony Gardner, Ace Hardware Glendale.
Other tips: open your blinds to bring in natural sunlight, close doors to keep heat in and fill in cracks in older homes to keep cold air out.
Do not turn on your stove just for heat -- that's definitely a fire hazard.
