71-year-old Waterford man's death in Razorback Lake ruled accidental drowning

A 71-year-old man is dead after drowning in Razorback Lake.
Shortly before 10 a.m. on Monday, July 03, 2017, the Vilas County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a 911 call reporting an unoccupied anchored boat with a fishing net floating next to the boat on Razorback Lake. Emergency crews responded to the incident and observed a deceased male subject in about seven to ten feet of water.
The incident has been ruled an accidental drowning.
The man has been identified as 71-year-old Michael Manicke of Waterford, WI.
The Vilas County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind everyone to have and wear appropriate life jackets while enjoying all water related activities.
