6-week-old infant dies near 47th and Oklahoma

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- According to Milwaukee Police the preliminary investigation believes the death was due to co-sleeping. The case will be reviewed by the DA's Office for possible charges.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner has responded to an infant death near 47th and Oklahoma on Milwaukee's south side.
According to the ME, the infant is a 6-week-old girl. Police say the baby was found unresponsive and later pronounced dead.
Milwaukee Police say they responded around 10:00 a.m.
The circumstances surrounding the death are unknown. An autopsy has been scheduled for Thursday.
