Besides one random day at the end of September when we hit 70 degrees, we have stayed consistently cool in the 60s for highs for the last 20 days. We continued more of those 60s for highs over the weekend, although Sunday got close to 70 in Milwaukee with a high of 69. We also saw some chilly lows over the weekend, especially Saturday when Milwaukee dropped to 45 degrees.
We had another chilly start to the day Monday morning where Milwaukee also dropped into the mid 40s for lows with a light wind and clear sky. Tuesday morning is probably going to be chilly once again with lows in the 40s to around 50 depending on how many clouds with see with a weak wave to our north.
Monday is likely our last cool day for the rest of the week. Highs will stay in the low 60s for Monday before warming above average in the upper 60s and low 70s the rest of the week. The average high has now dropped to 66 degrees.
While many locations have dropped into the lower 40s so far this fall, most locations are still waiting on our first morning in the 30s. Tomorrow, October 6th, is actually the 30-year average for Milwaukee to drop into the 30s for the first time in the fall months. Looking at the last six years, our first morning with lows in the 30s has ranged from the beginning of the month to the end. We likely don't see any 30s in Milwaukee in the immediate future.
