34-Year-old woman in intensive care following Skateland incident

WAUKESHA -- A 34-year-old woman is in intensive care after being hit by a car in the parking lot of Skateland in Waukesha on August 31. The woman was hit following an altercation with a group of people who were denied entrance to Skateland.


Police say a small group of individuals who had been denied entrance to Skateland began driving recklessly through the parking lot. The 34-year-old woman and her group began arguing with the reckless drivers. That argument escalated to fighting between the two groups, and vehicle damage.


The 34-year-old woman was eventually struck by a vehicle. Police have not said exactly who hit the victim, and are not identifying her. She is hospitalized and currently in the Intensive Care Unit.


According to police the group that had been denied entry consisted of two males, aged 17 and 18 years old, and three women, aged 17-20. The victim was with a 32-year-old woman, two males, aged 14 and 16 years old, and two young children.


Police are pouring through multiple witness accounts with \"varying perspectives\".
