19-Year-Old Causes Dodge County Crash after Falling Asleep

On Friday, November 4 at approximately 5:26 AM, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two vehicle crash on State Highway 33 near County Highway I, in the Town of Oak Grove.

Preliminary investigation shows that Natalie R. Graff a 19-year-old from Beaver Dam was driving west on State Highway 33 in a 2014 Ford Fusion. Graff admitted to falling asleep and her vehicle crossed over the center line and struck an eastbound vehicle. 

The east bound vehicle was a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan being operated by 41-year-old Beaver Dam resident Caroline S. Kikkert.

Kikkert was transported by EMS to Beaver Dam Community Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Graff was also transported to Beaver Dam Community Hospital with life threating injuries. Both drivers were transferred to UW-Hospital in Madison for their injuries.
