17-year-old Milwaukee County Zoo tiger 'Amba' humanely euthanized

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A heartbreaking loss for the Milwaukee County Zoo.
Amba, a 17-year-old tiger, was humanely euthanized Tuesday, Jan. 26, after the zoo said she was experiencing a declining quality of life due to serious health issues."
According to the zoo, Amba had five offspring and displayed excellent maternal care, even allowing her care team to be with the cubs if they were sick. She's overcome multiple health issues, proving to us that she was never to be underestimated.
