12 year old boy hit on bike

Police are investigating an accident where a 12 year old boy was hit by a car on Good Hope Road and and N. 43rd Street.

One of the witnesses, and the owner of Jerry's Certified Service says he could see on his surveillance video that the boy was crossing illegally.

He says the driver, a 43-year-old woman, was very distraught and was taken away after hitting the boy.

This happened around rush hour, at 7:30 Friday morning. The Bike Federation says they encourage parents to have their children learn the rules of the road at their camps throughout the summer.
