Zoological Society of Milwaukee hosting Green Art Contest for children

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Zoological Society of Milwaukee is hoping to send a positive message of recycling while allowing kids to show off their creative talents.

The Green Art Contest for children ages 17 and under encourages kids to repurpose recyclable items into art.

The contest is for children ages 17 and under.

Art submissions will be displayed at the Milwaukee County Zoo on August 25.

What: Kids Green Art Contest hosted by the Zoological Society of Milwaukee

When: Aug. 25, 2018Where: Peck Welcome Center inside the Milwaukee County Zoo.

Why: To encourage recycling, creativity and teach children about animals and the environment.

Details: Entry forms must be received by Aug. 10, 2018. Artwork can be delivered to the Zoological Society office starting Aug. 18, and no later than 4 p.m. Aug. 24. Judging will take place on Aug. 25. Winners will be announced that day in the Peck WelcomeCenter. Participants do not need to be present to win but are encouraged to attend.
