MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Youth groups trimmed Christmas trees at the Milwaukee County Zoo.
The groups have been decorating animal-themed ornaments for the past several weeks. There are 63 trees in all, and they're all on display at the US Bank Gathering Place.
"It really is wonderful to see all of these children coming out and having so much fun and after the time, not only the staff but also the time our volunteers have put into this so it is rewarding to see all of the smiles and all of the fun," said Special Events Assistant Jenn Trissel.
The decorating continues on Thursday. The Zoological Society says this event is a way to bring people together in holiday spirit.
