Yankees' Jeter says 2014 season will be his last

Derek Jeter announced that 2014 will be his last season in the Major Leagues, the shortstop announced on Facebook Wednesday afternoon.

Jeter will have played 20 seasons at the conclusion of the 2014 season, all with the New York Yankees, serving as the team captain from 2003.

Among his career accomplishments are five Word Series championships, a World Series MVP award in 2000 and 3,000 career hits.

The New York Yankees will play the Brewers at Miller Park May 9th through the 11th for a three-game series, likely bringing Jeter's farewell tour to Milwaukee.
