OZAUKEE COUNTY (CBS 58) -- A Wreath Laying Ceremony was held on Friday at the Ozaukee County War Memorial to honor fallen service members.
The county's American Legion Post gathered to recognize all of the names inscribed on the memorial.
The County Commander says the monument will soon undergo several renovations to better memorialize the fallen.
"There are some missing names on the stones from World War I and World War II, and one name is misspelled. Those corrections will be made as well. And then the concrete is also cracking and heaving, and that's going to be replaced," said James Johnson with the American Legion.
Additional changes include a granite base and a column with a quote from President Abraham Lincoln.
