AUSTIN, Texas (WISC) -- At this year's SXSW, the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board created the world's longest cheese board with more than 2,000 pounds of cheese spanning more than 70 feet.

The giant cheese board has more than 100 varieties of cheese from brands across the state, according to a release. The cheese board is at the #SXSWisconsin Lounge at the JW Marriott in Austin.

The cheese board features cave-aged cheddars, fresh cheese curds, hand-rubbed wheels, blue-veined cheddars, stinky Limburger and the 2017 U.S. cheese champion: Sartori Black Pepper BellaVitano.

"We wanted to let SXSW attendees embark on the ultimate cheese journey of flavor, texture, style and variety while recharging, relaxing and connecting," Suzanne Fanning, VP of marketing communications at Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, said.

The companies include BelGioioso, Carr Valley Cheese, Chalet Cheese, Grave Brothers Farmstead Cheese, Edelweiss Creamery, Roth Cheese, Hook's Cheese, Odyssey Feta, Prairie Farms, Sartori Cheese, Uplands Cheese.

According to the release, the cheese board itself was built inside a wooden barn using a digital fabrication tool technology.

Along with the cheese board, guests of the lounge can enjoy a bloody mary bar and afternoon happy hours with wine and cheese pairings.
