Woman Struck by Stray Bullet While in Her Own Home

According to the Milwaukee Police Department a 56-year-old woman Milwaukee woman was the victim of a shooting near N 19th and W Brown Streets.   The woman was in her home when she was struck by what appears to be a by a stray bullet.  According to the police, shots were fired during a disturbance two blocks from the victim’s home and Police believe the bullet came from that shooting.  They do not believe the woman was related to any shooter or was the target of the shooting.   She was taken to a local hospital for treatment of the non-life threatening wound.  The Police are continuing to investigate the shooting.
