Woman Dies after Crash in Brookfield

A 58-year-old woman has died after being in an accident in Brookfield on Tuesday.

According to Brookfield Police, the woman was involved in a two vehicle accident.

A 16-year-old male was travelling eastbound on Capitol Drive in the southern most lane approaching Springdale Road. 

The woman was stopped on northbound Springdale Road in the right turn lane, to proceed eastbound on Capitol Drive. 

According to police, the 16-year-old allegedly deviated from his lane and struck the woman’s vehicle.

At this time neither weather nor alcohol/drugs appears to be a contributing factor in the collision.  The incident remains under investigation.

According to police, the 16-year-old driver and his family have been completely cooperative in this investigation.
