Woman dead in motorcycle crash in Kenosha County; alcohol a factor

KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Kenosha County authorities identified the woman killed in a motorcycle crash on Camp Lake Road, as 42-year-old Marnie Cogswell of Spring Grove, Illinois.

The operator of the motorcycle was identified as 43-year-old Alejandro Rivas of Antioch, Illinois.

KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 42-year-old woman is dead following a fatal motorcycle crash that happened on Camp Lake Road in Kenosha County on Sunday, Mar. 1. Authorities say alcohol is a factor in the crash. 

According to the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department, the operator of the bike -- a 43-year-old Illinois man -- failed to make the curve at 268th Avenue and crashed into the south ditch line. 

Officials said the driver and passenger of the Harley Davidson motorcycle were ejected and transported to a local hospital for treatment. 

The passenger, a 42-year-old woman from Illlinois, later died from her injuries. The driver is being treated for serious injuries. 

The sheriff's department is requesting homicide charges by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle against the operator of the motorcycle.
