Woman arrested in Racine County for driving under the influence with 8-month-old in the car

RACINE COUNTY (CBS 58) -- The Racine County Sheriff's Office says a woman is in jail after driving under the influence with her 8-month-old baby in the car.

Authorities say on Tuesday afternoon, a caller reported a reckless driver in the Village of Raymond near 7 Mile Rd. and 92nd St. The caller said the driver almost rear-ended them, passed them and then pulled over and urinated on the side of the road.

The witness said the driver then got back into the car and was going over 100 miles per hour.

A nearby deputy was able to spot the reckless driver and stopped the vehicle. It was then learned the driver, a woman from Milwaukee, had her 8-month-old baby in the car. The woman was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for OWI 2nd offense with a passenger under 16-years-old in the car.

The woman is being held at the Racine County Jail.
