MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Drivers using I-94 through Milwaukee are dealing with major changes as construction continues in the area.
Sean Race, a construction supervisor with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, joined us Tuesday, Dec. 16 to offer details about the closures and construction timeline. Race explained his role with WisDOT and what overnight closures that began Monday night are preparing for.
Two ramps closed Monday night and will not reopen until March 2026. Race discussed which ramps are closed and why they need to stay closed that long.
Race also addressed a full closure of Hawley Road starting in the new year, which will affect many drivers who regularly use that route. He provided details about the upcoming closure and what drivers can expect.
WisDOT will be joining us every Tuesday during the CBS 58 News at Noon to talk about the latest construction projects to keep the community updated as routes change!
