MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Our hometown is still in the national spotlight.
Friday night, Oct.1, the Late Show with Stephen Colbert featured its "Milwaukee Apology Tour."
Monday night, we met the man responsible for the whole thing.
Gabe Gronli is the Madison native who wrote the virtual Milwaukee bit that caused such a stir in August of 2020.
"Well this is surreal. I'm from Madison so this is very exciting to be back in Wisconsin," said Gronli. "It's very weird to have written something that my boss now has to come and apologize for. But to me it was a long con to get a flight back and be back in Wisconsin. So it's working out great."
Gronli has lived in New York for 15 years, but there's no place like home and no place that tailgates like we do!
So the Milwaukee Apology Tour had to include Gronli and give Brewers fans a chance to get back at the guy who wrote such horrible things about our city.
