WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- Wisconsin native and defending NASCAR Trucks series champ Ty Majeski sits fourth in the chase for another title.
But he's concerned that for the second year in a row there are no NASCAR races in his home state - even after having them here every year since 1992.
"I feel like Wisconsin is such a honey hole for short track racing and just race fans in general," Ty Majeski says.
"And I think it's a huge, missed opportunity for NASCAR not to come to the state of Wisconsin," he continued. "Whether it be the Milwaukee Mile or Road America. To me they need to find somewhere, some way to get to Wisconsin. I just feel like there's a craving for NASCAR racing in Wisconsin and to not be going to Wisconsin I think is a huge, missed opportunity."
