MARQUETTE, Mich. (AP) — Authorities have released the names of two people who drowned in the fierce waves of Lake Superior, including a Wisconsin man who died while trying to save others off Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Justin Schroepfer of Rhinelander, Wisconsin, and 22-year-old Kaylilyn Tansey of Grand Ledge, near Lansing, died Saturday off Little Presque Isle near Marquette.

Investigators say the 24-year-old Schroepfer went into the water to try to help Tansey and another woman who were struggling. Abigail Sprinkle of Marquette was saved with assistance from others.
