Wisconsin dog recovering after eating hot dog stuffed with nails

A dog is recovering in Sauk County tonight after she ate nails wrapped in hot dogs.

The dog's owner believes someone did it on purpose.

The hot dogs were left outside an apartment complex in Lake Delton.

Clarice, a Yorkshire Terrier, ate some of them. A vet performed surgery on the pup to remove six nails. 

\"She just came home earlier today so she's recovering but she's still Clarice so that's good.\"

Lake Delton Police are investigating the harmful hot dogs. The owner hopes that whoever did this, turns themselves in.
