Wisconsin collects most prescription drugs in US during spring takeback program

WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- Drug takeback programs have become popular all across the country, including here in Wisconsin.
The state justice department tells us Wisconsin ranked number one in the US for most prescription drugs collected during the spring takeback program.
Wisconsinites turned in more than 59,000 pounds of unwanted drugs.
Since the takeback program started in 2010, Wisconsin has collected more than a million pounds of prescription meds.
That's third most, behind only California and Texas.
