MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The 40th anniversary of National Travel and Tourism Week was marked on Monday, May 8. It aims to be a time to honor the significant impact the industry has on Wisconsin's economy, communities and overall quality of life.
Wisconsin Department of Tourism Secretary Anne Sayers joined us on May 8 to emphasize the importance of the week and to highlight various celebrations taking place throughout the state.
As the tourism industry remains a vital component of Wisconsin's economy, new ad campaigns are set to launch, promoting summer travel within the state.
For more information, visit TravelWisconsin.com with the new commercials being available on Travel Wisconsin's YouTube channel.
