WI Man Arrested after Allegedly Sexually Assaulting, Stabbing Woman in Ashwaubenon

ASHWAUBENON, Wis.(CBS WFRV) A man was arrested after police say he sexually assaulted and stabbed a woman.

On Tuesday, Ashwaubenon Public Safety officers took a complaint from a 26-year-old woman who claimed she has been sexually assaulted and stabbed. 

Officers say that the woman went to the suspect's apartment located in the 2100 block of Carstensen Lane to talk to the man. The victim and suspect have a child in common. During this time, the suspect was said to have taken the woman's phone and began reading her messages. He then became upset and punched her in the face. 

The suspect is said to have also held the woman against her will from May 25 through May 30 and even breaking her phone. During this time, the suspect repeatedly physically and sexually assaulted her, and stabbed her in the arm with a hunting knife.

The 24-year-old suspect is currently in the Brown County Jail on a probation violation and recommended charges of substantial battery, 2nd degree sexual assault, 1st degree recklessly endangering safety, false imprisonment, and disorderly conduct.

This case remains under investigation.
