White Deer Spotted in Grafton

GRAFTON – A white deer was spotted in Grafton earlier this week. The animal was seen roaming through a wooded area with other deer.  It has become the talk of the town. But this isn’t the first time a white deer has been seen in this area. According to residents, the white deer has been spotted several times on Highway V between Grafton and Port Washington. Some residents say there may be more than one white deer in the area.

Expect for C-W-D management zones, white deer are protected in the State of Wisconsin. There was a big uproar back in November of 2012 when someone shot and killed a white deer in Sauk County. There is a fine of $303.30 for anyone who illegally kills a white deer in the State of Wisconsin.
