West Milwaukee Intermediate teacher taken to hospital after student throws pencils

WEST MILWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A teacher at West Milwaukee Intermediate School was taken to the hospital after pencils were thrown at him Thursday afternoon around 1:50.

According to a release from the school, a student threw a handful of broken pencils at the teacher. Administrators responded and called police. 

Paramedics took the teacher to the hospital for an assessment after he said one of the pencil pieces hit his eye behind his glasses.

The teacher was back in school on Friday and the student has been disciplined.
