West Bend Police searching for suspects who broke windows, stole purses
WEST BEND Wis. (CBS 58) -- The West Bend Police Department is currently searching for suspects after several cars had their windows smashed and belongings were taken from within.
One victim called police shortly after noon on Thursday to report she was hiking at Glacier Hills Park when someone broke a window on her vehicle in the parking lot and removed her purse.
Around the same time, an employee at the Dollar Tree called to report someone broke her car's window and stole her purse.
On Friday, a citizen reported that while she was at Planet Fitness, someone broke her window in the parking lot and took her window. Another citizen also reported having a window broken in the same location but nothing was taken.
A short time later, suspects attempted to use a credit card stolen in one of the thefts at the Walmart in West Bend.
The first suspect is described as a white female, mid-twenties, 5'2 - 5'4, medium build, with shoulder length dark hair. She was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black shoes.
The second suspect is described as a black male, 25-30 years of age, 6'0 - 6'2, with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.
Their vehicle is described as a white 4-door sedan with dark tinted windows.
The West Bend Police encourage all to lock your car doors and keep your purses and other valuables out of sight by either securing the items in a locked trunk or cover in a storage area. Citizens are also asked to call the West Bend Police Department at (262) 335-5000 if they see any suspicious behavior by individuals looking in parked cars in parking lots or neighborhoods.
