West Bend Police: 14-year-old suspended after making threats on social media
WEST BEND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 14-year-old student has been suspended after allegedly making threats on social media.
West Bend Police say on Thursday, January 24, a high school student posted some vague threats on social media directed at other students.
The teen was then taken into custody for Disorderly Conduct and referred to juvenile authorities.
West Bend Superintendent Don Kirkegaard released the following statement on the matter:
"The West Bend Police Department and West Bend High Schools were informed of a social media post made by a high school student that included vague threats. The West Bend Police Department and Washington County Sheriff’s Department have taken the student into custody for disorderly conduct and referred him to juvenile authorities. We thank the West Bend Police Department and Washington County Sheriff’s Department for their prompt attention to this matter."
